Game Updates
Version Releases & Patch Notes
Player-facing version updates through v0.9.6, covering battle presentation, Cloud Save safety, rewards and mobile controls.
New character skill cut-ins and smoother transitions enhance battle presentation.
Added character cut-in presentations for Elena’s Starcore Guardian and Nox’s Rift Pierce, and refined the transition timing between Serena’s Tidal Suture cut-in and battlefield skill effects. Skip controls, fast auto-battle playback, and reduced-motion preferences remain supported. Skill values, battle resolution, and rewards remain unchanged.
Game Updatesv0.9.5Version & Game Update
v0.9.5 — Passive Skill Visual Fix
Passive skill effects now appear on the correct affected character.
Fixed an issue where certain passive skill effects could appear on the wrong character. Passive skill visuals now correctly target the character affected by the effect. Skill values, trigger conditions, battle resolution, and rewards remain unchanged.
Game Updatesv0.9.4Version & Game Update
v0.9.4 — Enhanced Battlefield Skill Effects
Battlefield effects for skills and status effects are clearer.
This update improves the presentation of ordinary battlefield skills. Buffs, debuffs, control effects, marks, taunts, and passive abilities now have clearer visual effects. Skills that combine damage, healing, or status effects also present their different effects more clearly. Auto-battle remains fast, and reduced-motion preferences continue to be respected. Skill values, battle resolution, and rewards remain unchanged.
Game Updatesv0.9.3Version & Game Update
v0.9.3 — Battlefield Skill Presentation
Skills now use distinct battlefield animations for their action types.
Ordinary skills now present according to their action type. Ranged shots travel as projectiles while the attacker stays in place. Melee attacks keep a single lunge or sweep, with a slash along the strike, and multi-hit skills show each hit in sequence. Healing beams, healing fields, shields, and binds each use a distinct effect. Auto-battle and reduced-motion settings stay as they are. Battle resolution, skill values, and rewards are unchanged.
Game Updatesv0.9.2Version & Game Update
v0.9.2 — Kiel Skill Presentation Fix
Fixed playback of Kiel’s charged skill cinematic.
Fixed an issue where Kiel’s Froststorm Charge cinematic could fail to play when the charged attack was released. Existing skip, mute and reduced-motion settings remain available. Battle resolution is unchanged.
Game Updatesv0.9.1Version & Game Update
v0.9.1 — Kiel Froststorm Charge: full audio-visual presentation
Kiel’s Froststorm Charge gains a full video and audio presentation.
Frost Guardian Kiel’s Froststorm Charge gains a full skill video with native audio, followed by battlefield frost aftermath and a natural audio tail. All regions use the same video and audio. Skip, mute and reduced-motion options remain available, and battle resumes normally if media playback fails.
Game Updatesv0.8.2Version & Game Update
v0.8.2 — Sign-in and Cloud Save Loading Fix
Fixed a sign-in issue that could prevent Cloud Save loading.
Fixed an issue where sign-in succeeded in some browser environments but Cloud Save initialization prevented entry into the game. Improved secure access: HTTP entry links now redirect to HTTPS. If the browser context is still insecure, a clear message pauses cloud sign-in. Existing cloud progress and pending save operations are preserved. There is no need to start a New Game or clear browser data.
Game Updatesv0.8.1Version & Game Update
v0.8.1 — Cloud Save Restore and Mailbox Reward Safety Fix
Cloud Save history and reward safeguards improve snapshot restore safety.
Updated safety protections for Cloud Save history, snapshot Restore, and official mailbox rewards. The System page now includes a Cloud Save History view showing snapshots across current and archived runs, along with revision numbers, save reasons, and restore availability. Normal Cloud Save loading, syncing, autosaves, stage settlement, and general mail claims continue to work as usual. To prevent claimed mailbox attachments, first-clear rewards, or reward-adjustment records from being lost or mismatched when rolling back to an older save, Restore is now available only for snapshots with a verified history that preserves already-claimed rewards. Earlier snapshots imported from local saves, snapshots whose original reward records cannot be automatically verified, or snapshots taken before a mail claim or reward-adjustment baseline remain visible in the history list with an explanation, but cannot be restored directly. In addition, first-clear reward adjustment letters are tied to the save run that earned the original clear. If that run was archived by starting a New Game, or if an older claim record still requires source verification, the letter remains visible in the mailbox with a status note while staying unavailable to claim in the current run, without affecting general mail or Claim All. This update does not change stage reward amounts, character strength, or combat balance.
Game Updatesv0.8.0Version & Game Update
v0.8.0 — Stage Reward Adjustments
Stage rewards were adjusted, with historical first-clear differences subject to eligibility and verification.
Eligible first-clear increases are handled through official mail; 24 historical adjustments require individual review and are excluded from automatic delivery. This notice does not mean that all historical differences have been paid.
Game Updatesv0.7.0Version & Game Update
v0.7.0 — Combat Presentation 2.0 Debut
The first Combat Presentation 2.0 update introduces new skill effects and cut-ins.
Combat Presentation 2.0 makes its debut! Lia's Lightfeather Slash gains more expressive Battlefield skill effects. Serena's Tidal Suture adds a character Cut-in showing the character, skill name, and casting target. Improved presentation layouts, character images, and text on phones in both portrait and landscape, with an easy-to-tap Skip control. Auto-battle uses shorter presentations, while reduced-motion preferences use simplified presentations such as static cards.
Game Updatesv0.6.26Version & Game Update
v0.6.26 — Acquisition Sorting and Cloud Save Integrity Fix
Date-obtained sorting now uses a separate authenticated read, preserving existing Cloud Save snapshots.
If acquisition history is unavailable, the Characters and Party screens explain the issue and fall back to rarity order.
Existing character progress, revisions, resources and pending operations remain intact; Quick Fill priorities do not change.
This corrects the date-obtained feature introduced in v0.6.25 without changing combat balance, economy or rewards.
Game Updatesv0.6.25Version & Game Update
v0.6.25 — Character and Party Roster Sorting
Sort your owned characters on both the Characters and Party screens by rarity, level or date obtained.
Choose ascending or descending order; rarity descending remains the default.
Sorting changes only the roster display, not selected party slots, presets, filters or Quick Fill selection.
The acquisition-history and Cloud Save compatibility issue discovered after this release was fixed in v0.6.26.
Game Updatesv0.6.24Version & Game Update
v0.6.24 — Account Sign-Out Options and Session Security Improvements
New controls let you sign out of this browser or sign out of all devices, with Cloud Save safeguards.
Use the title screen or Settings → Account; signing out of all devices requires confirmation.
Revoked sessions cannot continue protected account actions; unresolved local Cloud Save recovery evidence is preserved.
If a save is still pending, the game warns you before signing out and lets you cancel to wait for synchronization.
Game Updatesv0.6.23Version & Game Update
v0.6.23 — Safer Recovery for Pending Cloud Save Operations
Cloud Save now keeps unresolved operation records until the server can prove their outcome.
A newer cloud revision or conflict alone is not proof that an older operation was safely retired.
Lost confirmations trigger checks of the original operation instead of blindly replaying reward or purchase actions.
This safety correction does not change battle rules, reward values or the Cloud Save database schema.
Game Updatesv0.6.22Version & Game Update
v0.6.22 — Better Mobile Announcements and Combat Skill Access
Announcements are easier to read on phones, while long skill lists stay accessible in portrait battles.
Selecting a mobile announcement opens its article directly, with a back-to-list control and separate article scrolling.
Portrait battle skills use one horizontally scrollable row; landscape and desktop layouts are unchanged.
Skill previews, cooldowns, usage limits and battle calculations work as before.
Game Updatesv0.6.21Version & Game Update
v0.6.21 — Smoother Player Controls and Image Interactions
Improved touch and mouse controls to prevent accidental selection of game text and dragging of artwork.
Gameplay screens reduce unwanted text selection, native image drag effects and browser image menus.
Account inputs, editing, links and Cloud Save diagnostic copying remain available.
This is a browser interaction improvement, not protection against screenshots or asset extraction.
Game Updatesv0.6.20Version & Game Update
v0.6.20 — Battle UI 2.0 & Cloud Save Conflict Auto-Recovery
Battle UI 2.0 clarifies HP, shields, combat statuses and skill information, alongside a targeted Cloud Save recovery fix.
Unified HP and shield indicators, clearer status stacks and original icons make combat easier to scan.
Hover or long-press skills for a quick preview; pre-submission stale-revision conflicts can refresh from authoritative Cloud Save.
The newer v0.6.23 release adds further safeguards for operations whose outcomes are still unknown.
Game Updatesv0.6.19Version & Game Update
v0.6.19 — Cloud Save and Unconfirmed Operation Recovery
Unconfirmed Cloud Save operations now receive clearer recovery guidance and timeout feedback.
Original pending records are kept when an operation's result cannot be verified, including across reloads and multiple tabs.
Historical unknown operations may still need assistance; a successful sign-in does not prove an old operation completed.
The game avoids risky resubmission until it can verify the original operation's outcome.
Game Updatesv0.6.18Version & Game Update
v0.6.18 — Mobile Battle Interface and Skill Readability Improvements
Mobile portrait and landscape battle screens now present skills and vital combat information more clearly.
A stable battle viewport keeps HP, shields, enemy intent and selected-skill feedback visible.
Skill detail buttons have larger touch targets; the complete timeline and combat log remain available in drawers.
The later v0.6.22 release further improves access to characters with unusually many skills.
Game Updatesv0.6.17Version & Game Update
v0.6.17 — Interface Stability and Usability Improvements
Refined account recovery, sign-out feedback and interface stability without altering player progression.
Password recovery and sign-out messages remain visible through relevant screen transitions.
The update focuses on user-facing reliability and maintainability rather than new story content.
This is a maintenance release; game balance and Cloud Save semantics remain unchanged.
Game UpdatesVersion & Game Update
Offline retry and Cloud sync status improvements
Offline retry and Cloud Save status messages now behave more predictably after lost connections.
Manual Retry while offline no longer submits Cloud Save requests or consumes a new operation identifier.
Reconnecting can retry the original settlement, with clearer loading and failure feedback.
The existing Cloud Save safety checks still apply to every pending operation.
Game UpdatesVersion & Game Update
Cloud Save Conflict Recovery & Mission Reward Clarity
Published in-game note: a Cloud Save conflict keeps the pending operation for another check, and Claim All Mission Rewards states which mission tabs it includes.
Reload Cloud (retain pending operation) checks a pending operation again after a Cloud Save conflict. Play continues only when that operation and the latest Cloud Save both verify.
Claim All is labeled Claim All Mission Rewards and collects available rewards across the Daily, Weekly and Progress tabs.
Reward amounts, summon rates, character growth costs and the Cloud Save format stayed the same.
This published note covers signed-in Cloud Save conflicts. The game keeps the pending operation and offers Reload Cloud (retain pending operation). An operation that cannot be verified stays blocked, so the game does not charge twice or drop progress.
If reloading Cloud Save during play cannot replace the current screen, that screen stays open and the sync notice remains visible. The mission-reward change is clearer wording only.
Game UpdatesVersion & Game Update
Generic Battle Music & Combat Sound Update
Published in-game note: battles without their own music use a generic battle theme, and physical hits, healing and shields gained new combat sounds.
Material dungeons and other battles without dedicated music play the generic battle theme.
Chapter 1 keeps its existing field theme, Frost Rift, and boss theme, Frost Core.
Physical hits, healing and shields have new combat sounds. If a sample cannot load, the battle keeps the existing procedural sounds.
This published note adds a generic battle theme for encounters that did not already have their own music, including regular material-dungeon battles. Chapter 1’s Frost Rift and Frost Core tracks stay in place.
The new combat sounds cover physical hits, healing and shields. They do not change battle results, and this note did not add separate Music and SFX volume sliders.
Game UpdatesVersion & Game Update
Adventure Hub & Dawnline Institute Interface Update
Published in-game note: navigation is grouped into Base, Adventure, Characters, Summon and Inventory, with a new Adventure hub for story routes and dungeons.
Phones use a bottom bar and desktops use a sidebar for Base, Adventure, Characters, Summon and Inventory.
The Adventure hub shows progress and unlock requirements for the main story, material dungeons, Reminiscences and Echo Chapters.
Characters, Party and Collection switch directly. On phones, character details no longer open automatically.
This published note reorganizes the Dawnline Institute base and the surrounding menus. The base highlights the next main story objective, and settings, resource display, buttons and spacing were tightened for Traditional Chinese and English.
This interface update did not change the battle HUD, the Action Value timeline or combat controls.
Expanded the Missions system after Stage 1-3 with multi-stage progression achievements tracking story chapters, roster growth and battle mastery.
Multi-tier achievement chains that advance automatically as you clear story nodes and upgrade characters.
Clear milestone tracking alongside Daily and Weekly operational missions.
Cloud-verified reward claims for Observation Prisms, Resonance Crystals and upgrade materials.
After clearing Main Story Stage 1-3, Resonators now gain access to multi-stage Progress Achievements alongside Daily and Weekly missions. Completing a tier automatically reveals the next milestone in the chain.
All mission and achievement claims are verified against Cloud Save to keep your Observation Prisms and upgrade materials synchronized across devices.

Development NewsDevelopment Milestone
Chapter 1 Web Demo Milestone: The First Frost Rift and Two Reminiscences
Historical development milestone, not a previously published in-game announcement. This date records Main Story Chapter 1 in Ashenveil and the Reminiscences for Arlo Lin and Luca.
Main Story Chapter 1: The First Frost Rift (8 combat stages and 5 story interludes).
Two Reminiscence routes from this milestone: Arlo Lin’s The Investigator’s Oath and Luca’s Echo Medical Record.
Cillian’s 40-node Echo Chapter is in the current web demo, and it was not part of this 8 September milestone.
This development record marks Chapter 1’s playable scope on 8 September 2026: the frost anomaly in Ashenveil, Arlo Lin and Luca joining the squad, and the encounter with Frost Guardian Kiel. It was not issued as an in-game announcement.
The current web demo at echoes.snugzap.com still includes that Chapter 1 scope. Cillian’s Echo Chapter, The Lightless Child and the Eclipse Forest, is also playable now and is described on the Characters page.
